In Massachusetts a “3 Strikes” Habitual Offender Bill was recently signed into law by Gov. Deval Patrick and took affect August 2, 2012. This is in spite of a concerted community / coalition effort spearheaded by the Blackstronian, EPOCA, NAACP, Prisoners Legal Services, FAMM, and many others to stop passage of a “3 Strikes” Bill in MA.
We worked closely with Blackstonian to create a website www.stopthreestrikes.org as well as posters and flyers, info graphics, and the latest print edition of the Blackstonian dedicated to the 3 strikes issue.

With such a contested issue the challenge was to make information accessible to a general public which no next to nothing about a law that affects all of us.
