This project was a real honor for us. Wise Intelligent of the Legendary Hip-Hop group, Poor Righteous Teachers had us redo his website in preparation for the release of his latest album ‘El Negro Guerrero‘. We worked on rebuilding his site as a self hosted wordpress site with a sliders, a shop, blog, and archives of music and videos. One of the goals with this redesign was to make the site more mobile friendly as it previously was purely flash site. wiseintelligent.com

DIY CD’s – The Jeffrey Physical Bootlegs [8.5×11 CD Case Template Included]

When helping SPNDA with materials for his Jeffrey release, one of the most labor intensive, yet satsifying projects was the creating of Official Bootlegs of the project. Jake drew an alternate cover and then scanned and colored it in Photoshop before laying out a CD case template on an 8.5×11 sheet of paper which when printed on one side and folded properly created a self contained CD envelope that could be created very cheaply. We also worked on testing and implementing a concept to print our own on-disc-art using an EZ-Cut print block. We are incredibly pleased with the results and using materials we already had were able to make a really nice, really personal, really cheap CD packaging and branding solution. SPNDA x EvillDewer – The Jeffrey

4:20 marked the release of “The Jeffrey” a collaborative album between CCR and Scope Music fam SPNDA and EvillDewer. We were brought in from the beginning to design Single covers and then an alternate cover for a bootleg physicals we helped produce and print (Find more on that in the blog). “Bang Em in tha Head” was a staged photo, we carved the title and some hash marks and took pics of SPNDA with a rusty old knife – this idea plays with imagery from a video concept but since the video isnt out, thats all for now on that one. For “Nebraska” we grabbed a screenshot from youtube of the moment that inspired that title for the track and played with the visual language of youtube to work in other info like the title and artists. The official cover was designed by Sir Froderick and features sweet comic book-based collages. We just added text, logos and titles. We also worked on building a 1-page-website and tweaking the SPNDA’s bandcamp. Pause – End of Story

Yesterday Scope Music fam Pause released his third solo album for free download. We were enlisted once again to shoot and design the cover. For the photos, we tried a few locations eventually finding the right amount of nature in the Arnold Arboretum in JP. The overall concept was to use a natural setting to contrast with the subject and then make the two connect through the grungy but bright post production effects. As always Pause added hand written touches with his logo and the title in his signature graff script.  Another fun cover for us, def go check out the project.
