About
Pen and Sword is an artist collective and graphic and web design company. We are based in Boston, MA but work with a network of artists and designers to provide exceptional solutions for communities, activists, artists & entrepreneurs.
Graphic / Web Design Firm + Political Art Collective
We are artists united by the belief that art should be a tool for the empowerment of our communities and one weapon available in the arsenal of activists. We specialize in guerilla marketing tactics and the design and production of print, digital and web media for the purpose of raising consciousness and promoting movements for social justice. We believe that artists are responsible for critically examining the world we live in and exposing its contradictions and injustices with our work.
The Design Company
We are also a full service graphic and web design company specializing in providing marketing materials to community and youth organizations, activists, artists in all media, performers, producers, small businesses, entrepreneurs and you! Through ourĀ network of artist and designers we provide outstanding web and graphic design solutions to our more mainstream business clients.
Education
We believe that art should be an accessible tool for expression, not a highly elite hobby. Through workshops, events and collaboration with other programs, our collective works to teach youth, organizers and others about the creative communication of ideas in different mediums, and ways to use art to support social movements. If you are an educator or facilitator in the Boston area, do not hesitate to contact us about working with your students.
